A family that needs our support
The Shrapnel family — Rochelle, Craig, Kaiden and Lexi — are a local family who have faced more heartbreak in a few short months than most of us could ever imagine.
Earlier this year, Kaiden was involved in a devastating accident that caused serious injuries to his neck and back, leaving him with quadriplegia. Once an active teenager, he is now facing extensive rehabilitation, ongoing care, and a completely new way of life.
While the family was still trying to process this life-changing news, Rochelle was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer and is now undergoing treatment.
With Rochelle receiving treatment and Kaiden requiring ongoing care, the family has been unable to continue working in their self-employed business — adding significant financial pressure during an already unimaginable time.
