    A little note from me 💗

    Hi, I'm Valerie — hairdresser, mum and founder of Tender Strands. After 17 years behind the chair at Hair by Valerie in Tooradin, I've seen how challenging everyday brushing can be for little ones, families and anyone with a sensitive scalp. I created Tender Strands to offer gentler tools and practical haircare tips for real-life routines.

    Now our family is getting ready for a new adventure. My Victorian salon chapter finishes on 23 December 2026, and we're planning to relocate to Queensland in January 2027. Saying goodbye to my wonderful clients is bittersweet, but Tender Strands is coming with us.

    I'll keep sharing what I've learnt behind the chair as we start this next chapter. Every order, review, recommendation and share means so much to our little Australian family business. Thank you for being part of the journey. 💗

            Amazingly gentle brush. I have all 3 sizes now- the original for my hair, the everyday for my daughter and 2 travel brushes for holidays. My hair is extremely thin, but this brush minimises breakage.

            OMG this hairbrush is amazing! I have very thick bleached hair and this brush handles it with ease. I usually to have to brush my hair in sections but I don’t have too with this brush. The smoothing is also perfect to get that nice slick back look when I wear my hair up. Totally recommend, I will be purchasing another!
